Dorothy Swain

Ambassador of the Year 2010

Dorothy Swain, the Library’s Assistant Director, was awarded the Ambassador of the Year by the North Central Chamber of Commerce at their annual dinner “Night of the Rising Stars”. Here are a few lines taken from their booklet to describe Dorothy’s contribution to the Chamber: “Dorothy usually offers to help the Chamber before she is even asked. [She] is the foundation of the Ambassador’s Program. Currently, she also co-chairs our Women in Business Council for the Chamber, where she is very pro-active in helping to create resources for women in business.” Her involvement in the Chamber, working with small businesses, facilitates the Greenville Library in meeting its goal of helping the public. The staff and Trustees of the Library are proud of Mrs. Swain’s accomplishments and congratulate her on her award!
