Stacey Graham is a fine art painter living in Providence, R.I. She has been painting since 1992 and received her B.F.A. from the Massachusetts College of Art, in Boston. She resided there worked as an antique restorer, specializing in inlay, until 2000, and then returned to R.I. Current works consist mainly of oil and acrylics. Stacey’s first passion is for figure painting drawn from personal experience. Each panel incorporates themes of juxtaposing beauty and sadness to create a carefully balanced narrative. Recent evolution in Stacey’s work expands into landscapes, flowers, and other natural themes. Flower painting became a natural expansion following her figurative series. The artist equates explosive curvature and fragility, intertwined with the power to withstand the elements, to the delicate intricacy of the human spirit.

Stacey is a member of the Cambridge Who’s Who of American Women, the Harvard Square Business Association, the Newport Artists Association and the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative. Her paintings have been featured on the cover of the East Side Monthly, as well as in the Observer, the Newport Times, and the Providence Journal. Stacey participated as one of ten artists in the International Erotic Art Festival at the Whaler’s Wharf Gallery in Provincetown in 2008. It was her first international show. She is currently exhibiting at Gallery Belleau in Providence.
